The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is a series of two shots that can protect nearly everyone from contracting chickenpox. The first should be given at the age of 12-18 months and the second shot should be given between 4-6 years of age. Older children and adults should have two shots as well, with the second shot occurring at least 28 days after the first.

Don't let chickenpox get the better of your or your loved ones. Here at Egerton Pharmacy we can vaccinate against the varicella zoster virus which causes chickenpox. Chickenpox is a common, usually mild, virus spread easily when in close contact with someone with the infection. Although extremely common with children, anyone can be at risk so it's best to be covered.  
The vaccination is administered in two doses, 4-8 weeks apart depending on the brand used. There are currently 2 chickenpox vaccine brands available, VARIVAX and VARILRIX. Only £65 per dose.
The chickenpox vaccine is not part of the routine childhood vaccination schedule but is suitable from the age of 9 months. 

The only way to find out if you have Chlamydia is to get tested. The recommended tests are simple, painless and very reliable. Treatment also available.
