Acne is a very common skin condition, identified by the presence of blackheads, whiteheads, and pus-filled spots. Acne can range from a few spots on the face, neck, back, and chest to a more severe problem with solid, painful lumps under the skin.

Acne affects males and females of all races, ethnicities, and ages. There are different treatments for mild, moderate, and severe acne.

In this consultation, we can advise on products to use or avoid, skin routines, and prescribe (for those aged 12 years and above) either Azelaic acid (Skinoren 20%) or Treclin gel depending on individual symptoms if required.

The lower back, also called the lumbar region, is the area of the back that starts below the ribcage. Symptoms of low back pain might range from a dull ache to a stabbing or shooting sensation. The pain may make it hard to move or stand up straight. Pain that comes on suddenly is “acute.” It might happen during sports or heavy lifting. Pain that lasts more than 3 months is considered “chronic.”
In this consultation, you will be advised on which supports, supplements, and OTC products to use or avoid, as well as prescribed Naproxen 250mg for individuals aged 18-65 years with mild to moderate lower back pain, once requirements are met and it is safe for the individual to take Naproxen.

Herpes simplex virus infection causes recurring episodes of small, painful, fluid-filled blisters on the skin, mouth, lips (cold sores), eyes, or genitals. This highly contagious viral infection is spread by direct contact with sores or, sometimes, contact with an affected area even when no sores are present.

During this consultation, you will be offered appropriate symptom relief and treatment for herpes simplex virus infections affecting the lips or face (herpes labialis). Depending on individual symptoms and age (2 years and older), a pharmacist can prescribe aciclovir tablets or solution.
