The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is a series of two shots that can protect nearly everyone from contracting chickenpox. The first should be given at the age of 12-18 months and the second shot should be given between 4-6 years of age. Older children and adults should have two shots as well, with the second shot occurring at least 28 days after the first.

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash.

Healthy Start vitamins contain vitamins A, C and D for children aged from six months to four years, and folic acid and vitamins C and D for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Healthy Start vitamins are available free for pregnant women, women with a child under 12 months and children aged from six months to four years who are receiving Healthy Start vouchers.
