High blood pressure (hypertension) affects 1 in 3 adults in the UK. If left untreated it can cause heart problems, strokes and damage to vital organs. Therefore, it’s crucial to be aware of the risks and how you can reduce them. That’s where we can help, why not visit us and have one of our trained pharmacy staff members check your blood pressure.  This is a FREE NHS service for patients over 40 years old who have not previously been diagnosed with high blood pressure.  Other patients may be charged £5.00 for the BP check and consultation with the phamacist.

NHS Flu Vaccinations for all patients 65 years and over on the 31st March

Pharmacy First allows patients to access FREE advice and / or treatment for Impetigo for any patient over the age of 2.

This is a paid-for service suitable women aged 18-50 years old who want to delay their period by up to 14 days e.g. for a holiday or special occasion. The tablets need to be taken 3 days before period is due. This service is NOT suitable if you: Are taking the contraceptive pill Are pregnant or breastfeeding Have asthma, diabetes or high blood pressure Have depression or severe mental helath problems Have migraines Have lupus Are obese (BMI over 30) Are taking certain medicines inc antiepileptics or anticoagulants Have irregular vaginal bleeding without clear cause Have had a recent heart attack/stroke or angina Have had a DVT/PE (blood clot in leg or lung) Have liver or kidney problems (inc. having had jaundice in pregnancy) Have had a bad reaction to norethisterone tablets in the past



Pharmacy First allows FREE advice/treatment for the management of Shingles in patients aged 18 or over by one of our trained pharmacists.

Pharmacy first allows FREE access to advice/treatment to the management of skin infections in patients over the age of 18 by one of our trained pharmacists.

Confidential advice and provision of Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) is available for free, for this we need to record your name and postcode.
If you wish to access this service without giving these details, we also offer a paid-for service, providing the pharmacist believes it is clinically appropriate.
We will also offer advice on ongoing long-term contraception.



Providing support for patients diagnosed with a long term condition who have a newly prescribed medicine. To help improve your adherence and your understanding of the medicine generally leading to better health outcomes.

We can supply you with up to 12 months of your oral contraceptive. This is a FREE service provided by the NHS. If you require a blood pressure and BMI check this will be completed in the pharmacy.
Please note this service includes starting a new oral contraceptive; switching oral contraceptive or a repeat supply.
PLEASE READ: combined oral contraceptive (COC) can be supplied from start of menstruation up to and including 49 years of age. * progestogen only pill (POP) – from start of menstruation up to and including 54 years of age.


Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash.
