The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is a series of two shots that can protect nearly everyone from contracting chickenpox. The first should be given at the age of 12-18 months and the second shot should be given between 4-6 years of age. Older children and adults should have two shots as well, with the second shot occurring at least 28 days after the first.

Pharmacy First allows patients to access FREE advice and / or treatment for Impetigo for any patient over the age of 2.

Instead of booking and waiting for a GP appointment you can visit your local pharmacist. This is a free service to collect a kit containing seven LFD tests (using a nose/throat swab) to confirm whether you are currently infected with COVID-19. It is recommended that you test twice weekly so one kit will last three weeks. You will be able to collect another kit when needed.

This is a private (paid for) service from your Pharmacist for antibiotic/steroid spray to treat otitis externa (inflammation of the outer ear canal) likely to be due to infection.
