High blood pressure (hypertension) affects 1 in 3 adults in the UK. If left untreated it can cause heart problems, strokes and damage to vital organs. Therefore, it’s crucial to be aware of the risks and how you can reduce them. Do you have problems with excess ear wax, an ear wax build up or blockage? Ear blockages can be painful, uncomfortable and even make it hard to hear. Typically, the main causes of ear blockages is the build up of ear wax. Ear wax is perfectly natural, but it is often uncomfortable and even painful when impacted. Seasonal Influenza (Flu) vaccination is available every year to help protect both adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.

The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS to adults who:

-are 65 and over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2024)
-have certain health conditions
-are pregnant
-are in long-stay residential care
-receive a carer's allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick
-live with someone who is more likely to get a severe infection due to a weakened immune system, such as someone living with HIV, someone who has had a transplant, or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis

Private Seasonal Influenza (Flu) vaccination is available every year to help protect those who are not eligible for the service through the NHS

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash.
