Seasonal Influenza (Flu) vaccination is available every year to help protect both adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.

Having a seasonal flu (influenza) vaccine helps protect both adults and children against this common illness and its potential complications. The vaccinations will start from the 3rd October 2024, please book your FREE flu vaccine today. Alternatively, walk in service is also available .Available for people aged 65 years or over (including those becoming age 65 years by 31 March 2025).

We welcome you to book your flu vaccination for our Saturday flu clinic on the 5th October. Open 9am - 3pm. FREE NHS and private vaccinations (at a competitive £15) available on the day, subject to eligibility. 


All adults over the age of 35** are advised to have their blood pressure checked regularly, also if you have family history of high blood pressure and are over the age of 18. 

** under the age of 40 who have a recognised family history of hypertension or those patients between 35 and 39 years old who are approached about or request the free NHS service. 


Monitoring your blood pressure as you get older is important as high blood pressure can lead to strokes and cardiovascular problems. The only way of knowing whether you have high blood pressure is to have a blood pressure check. 

If you are not on any blood pressure medications already, or have been advised by a doctor, nurse, optician or dentist to have it checked please book your FREE appointment today. 

If you have out of date or unwanted medicines, both prescription or over the counter drugs, don’t bin them or flush them. You can take your unwanted or out of date medicines back to your pharmacy for safe disposal, and it’s completely FREE. Each year enormous quantities of unused and expired medications are dumped into bins or flushed down toilets and sinks. The effects on the environment and human health are unclear but evidence is pointing to the presence of chemicals from prescriptions and over-the-counter medications in soil, drinking water and the surrounding environment. Just as proper medication administration is important, so is safe and cautious disposal.

The Lateral flow device tests supply service for patients potentially eligible for COVID-19 treatments (LFD service) was commissioned as an Advanced service from 6th November 2023.

New Medicine Service
Patients receiving a new medication eligible for this service (and have given consent in the pharmacy), you will receive a confidential phone call from one of our specialist pharmacists on 01709 913 000 within 7-14 days. 
 
Patients will be able to discuss how they are getting on with the new medicine and allow our pharmacist to answer any questions. 
 
The New Medicines Service, is a free NHS service, offered through your pharmacy, to help you understand your condition and get the most out of your new medicine.



Initiation and on going supply of oral contraception. 

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash.
