Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash.

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists.

This private (paid for) service is provided by our trained staff. The small venous or capillary blood sample is sent away to our partnering lab for results, so if you are worried about any of the following health conditions - cholesterol, diabetes, thyroid, or heart we can help you to check. The lab can also check your vitamin levels and complete a general well woman/man service and many more. Prices starting from £59. For more information, please contact the pharmacy direct.

For pre-registered COPD patients with a COPD card to receive rescue anti-biotics and steroids for an acute flare up of their COPD.

This service is for confidential advice and for the provision of Emergency Hormonal Contraception.

The Gluten Free Food Service allows patients to self-manage their gluten free prescriptions with the assistance of their community pharmacy. Patients eligible for the service will be identified by their GP and referred to their pharmacy for care.

Pharmacy First allows patients to access FREE advice and / or treatment for Impetigo for any patient over the age of 2.

This is an NHS Scotland service to support patients taking long term medicines. In the first instance patients need to register with their local pharmacy and in the future their GP may issue a serial prescription for up to 12 months cutting the need to order your prescriptions routinely.

We are able to prepare compliance aids for patients following discussion with your GP and a requirement for need. If you or a family member need a compliance aid please contact the pharmacy by telephone.

Pharmacy first allows FREE access to advice/treatment to the management of skin infections in patients over the age of 18 by one of our trained pharmacists.

Smoking Cessation enables you to gain advice on the correct use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy and provides behavioural support to help you give up smoking.

Pharmacy First allows patients to access FREE advice and / or treatment for uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infection in women aged between 18 and 65.
