How does it work?
• If you visit a pharmacy and have a common ailment you can ask the
pharmacist for advice. The pharmacist may ask if you wish to register for
the service. Registering means the pharmacist may supply you with the
medicine you need free of charge.
• You do not normally have to make an appointment. You can go along at a time that
suits you.
• Your consultation will always be with a qualified pharmacist
and will take place in a confidential area within the pharmacy.
• If your pharmacist agrees that you need a medicine or product to treat
your symptoms they may give it to you free of charge.


Keeping patients safe when they transfer between care providers. It is widely accepted that when patients move between care providers the risk of miscommunication and unintended changes to medications is a significant problem. It has been reported that between 30 and 70 percent of patients have either an error or an unintentional change to their medicines when their care is transferred. Getting the transfer of medicines information right can be challenging as patients follow complex pathways and systems vary between providers. However, greater collaboration between professionals can make a difference to patient safety. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has worked with other Royal Colleges to develop guidance about keeping patients safe when they transfer between care providers. This includes a number of good practice principles for all healthcare professionals involved in the sending and receiving of information about medicines, as well as a number of practical suggestions that providers, commissioners and professionals may wish to implement to support the safe transfer of information. 

If you or a family member has recently been discharged from hospital please let one of the pharmacy team know.  If you have been issued a discharge letter by the hospital can you also please give this to the Pharmacist.
This service has been introduced by NHS wales to help speed up the transition of information from the hospital to your GP. 

Contraceptive advice including the morning after pill.
This service is for confidential advice and for the provision of Emergency Hormonal Contraception.

This is an NHS Service and is FREE of charge.
All customers wanting to get the “morning after pill” will be required to talk to the pharmacist in our private consultation room. This is completely confidential and your pharmacist is a medical professional bound by the laws of confidentiality as your doctor is.

There is no need to ask at the counter for the pill, simply ask to speak to the pharmacist in private.

If you have forgotten to order or pick up your prescription we are now able to provide you with a short supply of your prescription medicines.  To be Eligible for the service you will need to have a consultation with the pharmacist.  Please note this service is only designed to be used in an emergency situation.  The service is only available 9am - 12pm on Saturdays and 3pm to 5pm on sundays.

Seasonal Influenza (Flu) vaccination is available every year to help protect both adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.


FREE NHS vaccines available to over 65 years and “At Risk” Individuals
Only £8.95 if not eligible.

There is no need for an appointment, though you can make one with us if you wish. All vaccinations are given in our private consultation room by our trained pharmacist, who will be able to advise on the possible side-effects of a seasonal flu vaccine, why it is important to protect against flu and how you protect yourself in other ways.Our pharmacist is fully trained and we are specialists in the provision of the seasonal flu vaccine.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to know more or would like to book an appointment. You can simply walk into the pharmacy and ask to have a flu vaccine, there may be a few minutes wait at busy times.

Medicine use reviews are a part of the Advanced Services of the community pharmacy contract. This will involve the pharmacist conducting a structured review with the patient about their medicine use. The aims of this service are to improve patients’ knowledge, concordance and use of medicines.

This is a confidential one to one meeting with our experienced pharmacist to discuss your medicines and conditions.

We will discuss 
1.  How to take your medicines. 
2.  When to take your medicines.
3.  Discuss any side effects or problems with your medicines.



How Our Service Works?

1.Speak to a Pharmacist in branch and decide if any treatment is required.

2.Fill in a medical questionnaire with a pharmacist to see if the treatment is suitable.

3.This information will be reviewed by our independent prescriber who will then issue a private prescription.

4.Collect and pay for treatment.

When you have a sore throat it can be uncomfortable to eat, drink and talk. That's why it's important to get the best medicine and advice to feel back to normal. During our sore throat service our expert Pharmacists will ask you a series of questions and examine your throat to determine the possible cause of your pain.

Smoking Cessation enables you to gain advice on the correct use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy and provides behavioural support to help you give up smoking.

If you’re thinking of giving up smoking, you are four times more likely
to succeed if you use a stop smoking product and get advice and support. We offer a private one-to-one consultation with a trained member of Pharmacy staff. They will discus your cravings, talk to you about what you’ve tried before and what Nicotine Replacement Therapy products might be best for you.

We can help you quit smoking for good. As a health care professional, your Pharmacist is ideally placed to help you through the quitting process from advice and tips on how to break the habit and also guidance on NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) products, such as gum, patches and many more, to help you when the urge just gets too much.



This is a service for patients prescribed methadone for the treatment and management of opiate dependence and other specialist conditions.

If you would like to use this service, please ask to speak to the Pharmacist in the consulting room and they will be happy to discuss this with you.

This service is provided in complete confidence in our private consulting room. Please remember, your Pharmacist is a medical professional and they are there to help you with complete professionalism and confidence.

Pharmacies will offer a user friendly, non-judgmental, client centred and confidential service.

The Pharmacy will provide support and advice to the patient, including referral to primary care or specialist centres where appropriate.





If you are planning on travelling outside of the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world. Please contact us to confirm your specific needs.

If you or a family member is travelling abroad you can now book an appointment with the pharmacist who can check what vaccines and anti-malaria treatments are needed for your destination.
Our pharmacist is an independent prescriber so if anti-malaria treatment is required they can provide you with a private prescription for the treatment.
Our pharmacist is also an advanced practitioner therefore he is able to prescribe and administer a wide range of travel vaccines.

If you have any unused medicines please bring them back to us for safe disposal.

If you have out of date or unwanted medicines, both prescription or over the counter drugs, don’t bin them or flush them.

You can take your unwanted or out of date medicines back to your Pharmacy for safe disposal, and it’s completely FREE.

Each year, enormous quantities of unused and expired medications are dumped into bins or flushed down toilets and sinks. The effects on the environment and human health are unclear but evidence is pointing to the presence of chemicals from prescriptions and over-the-counter medications in soil, drinking water and the surrounding environment. Just as proper medication administration is important, so is safe and cautious disposal.
