Altitude sickness (also known as AMS) is a condition that occurs at high altitudes from 2500 metres (8200 ft) above sea level, where the body has difficulty adjusting to lower oxygen pressure and symptoms such as headaches and dizziness result. If you are travelling to a high altitude destination or are prone to altitude sickness, then it’s important to take the right precautions before you travel.
