Anyone who wants protection from flu but isn’t eligible for a free NHS jab. Popular with working adults, parents, frequent travellers and anyone who doesn’t want flu to disrupt their winter.
Flu can mean a week or more off work and passing it round the household. Getting vaccinated reduces your chances of catching it and helps protect the people you live with. You can book appointments for other family members too.
The best time is autumn, before flu starts spreading. The vaccine takes around two weeks to start working, so booking now gives you protection for the busiest months of winter.
Your pharmacist will ask a few quick health questions, then give the jab in your upper arm. It only takes a few minutes. Some people get a sore arm or feel a little tired for a day or two.
The NHS card copy keeps the “your pharmacist will check” line, which lets people book without self-qualifying first. That’s where most of the conversion lift should come from without any design change.
