Our private Period Delay service is available for patients aged 18-50 and can help you stop getting your period when you don't want it - when you go on holiday or have to travel, for example. Period delay tablets are taken tablet three times a day. For the tablets to work you need to start taking them three days before your period is due to start. They'll delay your period for three days after you take the last tablet. Please be aware that Period Delay tablets (Norethisterone) are not suitable if patients are using any form of Hormonal Contraception (eg Tablets, Patches, Implants or Injections) They are only for short term use, do not act as a contraceptive and should not be used to prevent pregnancy. 30 tablets (up to 7 days delay) cost £15 60 tablets (up to 17 days delay) cost £25
