Period Delay Service (Norethisterone)

We offer a convenient service for women who wish to delay their menstrual period for special occasions, holidays, travel, or important events using Norethisterone.

Norethisterone is a hormone medication that can temporarily delay the start of your period when taken shortly before your expected cycle. It works by maintaining hormone levels that prevent the lining of the womb from shedding until the medication is stopped.

Before supplying this medication, you will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire and may have a consultation with a pharmacist or prescriber. This allows us to review your medical history and ensure the treatment is safe and clinically suitable for you. All medication is supplied subject to clinical suitability.

Typically, norethisterone is taken three times daily starting around three days before your expected period, and it can delay menstruation for up to around 17 days if required. Your period will usually begin 2–3 days after stopping the medication.
