Tick-Borne Encephalitis (TBE) is a viral infection transmitted through the bite of infected ticks, primarily in areas of Europe and Asia. It can cause serious neurological complications such as meningitis, encephalitis, and long-term disability.

We offer the TBE vaccine, a highly effective preventive measure, to protect you from this potentially life-threatening disease. The vaccine is recommended for individuals traveling to regions with endemic TBE, particularly for those who will be engaging in outdoor activities in forests or rural areas where ticks are prevalent.

Vaccine Schedule:

  • The TBE vaccine is given as a series of three doses:

    1. First dose: Initial vaccination

    2. Second dose: 1–3 months after the first dose

    3. Third dose: 5–12 months after the second dose

  • Full immunity is typically achieved 1–2 weeks after the third dose, offering protection for up to 3 years.

Who Should Get Vaccinated?

  • Travelers visiting endemic areas in Europe, Russia, and parts of Asia, particularly those planning to engage in outdoor activities like hiking, camping, or forestry work.

  • Individuals living in or traveling to high-risk areas with active tick populations.

  • People working in high-risk environments, such as forestry workers, researchers, or outdoor enthusiasts.

Why Get Vaccinated?

  • Prevent serious illness: TBE can lead to severe neurological complications that may require prolonged treatment and can have lasting effects on your health.

  • Peace of mind: With the vaccine, you reduce the risk of contracting TBE, allowing you to focus on enjoying your travels safely.
