Whether you're considering starting our Weight Management Programme or you're already receiving treatment, our Weight Management Blood Test is designed to help ensure your treatment is safe and appropriate.

This comprehensive profile is recommended before starting weight loss medication such as Mounjaro® or Wegovy®, and is also used throughout your programme to monitor your health and ensure your treatment continues to be safe and effective.

Alongside a comprehensive health profile, this blood test includes amylase, an important marker used to help monitor pancreatic health during treatment.

Your blood sample is collected through a simple venous blood draw by one of our qualified healthcare professionals, and you'll receive a full interpretation of your results from one of our experienced practitioners.

What does this blood test include?

This profile includes testing for:

• Full Blood Count (FBC)

• Liver function

• Kidney function

• Full cholesterol profile

• Blood glucose

• HbA1c (diabetes screening)

• Iron levels

• Bone health

• Vitamin D

• Amylase (to help monitor pancreatic health)

These tests provide valuable information to help determine whether weight loss treatment is suitable for you and to monitor your health throughout your programme.

What happens during your appointment?

During your appointment, one of our qualified healthcare professionals will:

• Confirm your details and answer any questions you may have

• Collect your blood sample using a simple venous blood draw

• Ensure your sample is safely sent for laboratory analysis

Once your results are available, one of our experienced practitioners will provide a full interpretation of your results, explain what they mean and advise whether weight loss treatment is appropriate or whether any further investigation is recommended.

For patients already enrolled on our Weight Management Programme, your results will also help ensure your treatment continues to be safe and effective.

Your blood sample is taken via a simple venous blood draw by one of our qualified healthcare professionals.

For the most accurate cholesterol results, we recommend attending your appointment after fasting where possible. If fasting isn't suitable, you may have a light meal before your appointment. Drinking water is encouraged and will not affect your results. Please continue taking any prescribed medication unless you've been advised otherwise.

Once your laboratory results are available, one of our experienced practitioners will provide a full interpretation of your results and advise on any appropriate next steps.
