What is Healthera Clinic?
Healthera Clinic is a new way for you to generate passive revenue by giving patients the treatment they need, without needing to hire, train, or manage your own independent prescriber.
Even if you already have your own clinic – Healthera Clinic will still augment your business by bringing you incremental volume and revenue to your pharmacy at no marginal cost.
If you’d like to start making money with Healthera Clinic, simply opt-in your pharmacy to start receiving private prescription orders from your patients.
How does Healthera Clinic work?
Patients using the Healthera Clinic will be able to purchase treatments for erectile dysfunction, hair loss, and weight loss. We’re already working on bringing more conditions to the platform, to give you even more opportunity to help your patients.
Your patients’ treatment will include everything needed to give them a safe healthcare experience, from the initial consultation with our certified clinicians, to getting prescribed, to getting their medication.
To place their treatment orders, your patients will need to fill-in a short questionnaire, with a follow-up phone call with our clinician if they require more information to prescribe.
For weight loss treatment, a video consultation between the patient and clinician will be necessary to ensure safe treatment.
For your existing patients
It’s easy, you simply need to opt your pharmacy in.
This will give your nominated patients on the Healthera app the ability to collect their treatment directly from your pharmacy, or use any other delivery methods your pharmacy offers.
Follow the on-screen instructions on Healthera Connect to opt-in to Healthera Clinic, for no additional charge (requires your account to be on Healthera Pro).
To receive additional orders from Healthera’s network
If you’d like to receive orders from new patients on the app, you can join our Patient Referral Network simply by contacting your Pharmacy Success Specialist.
These new orders will come from patients without a nominated pharmacy on the Healthera app, or whose pharmacy has decided to not offer treatment through Healthera Clinic.
Please note that receiving a new order from the Referral Network does not switch the patient’s NHS nomination to yourself. The patient will retain their previously nominated pharmacy for their NHS repeat prescriptions, should this be required.
To start, referred Healthera Clinic orders will be for postal delivery. We may extend this to collection and local delivery in the future.
Due to high demand, there is currently a queue for enrolling into the Patient Referral Network. We review every pharmacy based on criteria such as length of time taken to complete orders, and a proven history of providing a high quality service.
If you are a white label partner
Healthera Clinic is available for white label app partners as “Private Clinic”, but otherwise identical.
The feature can be activated or deactivated according to your preference. Patients may only be able to have their orders fulfilled by a pharmacy within the group that is on the white label app.
Fulfilling Orders with Healthera Clinic
Healthera Clinic orders will appear on the Orders tab under a “Private Medicine” header.
You will be able to see these orders as soon as they’re placed, but you may only fulfil these orders once the prescriber has approved and issued the prescription.
There will be an electronic prescription that’s downloadable as a PDF file within each order. You may fulfil against the prescription PDF.
The wet-signed prescription will be sent to your pharmacy by post each month for your records.
For your existing patients
If you cannot fulfil an order, you may decline the order on the Connect platform.
The order will be re-routed automatically to another pharmacy who can fulfil the order instead, to ensure a consistent patient experience.
In general, we encourage you to decline as few orders as possible.
If you decide to stop fulfilling orders for Healthera Clinic, let us know and we will opt you out of the platform.
How will I get paid?
As explained in detail later, payment is taken through Healthera Pay (powered by Stripe).
You will be paid for each order as you mark them as “Ready” on your Healthera Connect dashboard.
How will patients find out about the service?
Healthera Clinic will be made available on the Healthera App to over 750,000 patients, and listed prominently on both the Home Tab and the Shop Tab.
We encourage you to invite more of your patients to nominate your pharmacy through Multi-Text Invites, so that the Healthera Clinic functionality is available to them.
Since nominated patients are exclusively linked to their own pharmacy for fulfilment, more patients on the app equals more potential orders. We also encourage you to send your own broadcast messages and leverage in-store assets.
We will also be running paid ads on social media to encourage patients who want private medicines to download the app.
Additionally, Healthera has developed specific web pages optimised for SEO to attract new customers to purchase through Healthera Clinic.
In an upcoming release, Healthera Clinic will be fully accessible from the web, meaning patients will be able to complete their order without even downloading the app – for even more conversion.
How do I keep my patients’ data safe?
When fulfilling prescriptions through Healthera Clinic, your pharmacy will act as a sub-processor, in accordance with both UK GDPR and DPA 2018.
This means any and all patient data related to the fulfilment of their private medication can only be used in line with Healthera Clinic medicine fulfilment, and for no other purpose.
Relevant data includes but is not limited to:

How will I be reimbursed?
Your patients will pay for their medication within the app using Stripe, and this will be released into your account once you have marked their prescription as ready on your Healthera Connect dashboard.
At the end of each month, you will be sent a Reimbursement Report that details all the items you’ve dispensed through Healthera Clinic.
