Acne

(Also known as spots)

Acne is a common skin condition which leads to spots, oily skin, and can sometimes cause your skin to feel hot or painful to touch. Although it can’t be cured, treatments can help clear up your skin.

You might have acne if you have:

Whiteheads (clogged closed pores)
  • Excess oil on your skin
  • Clogged hair follicles
  • Bacteria
  • Hormonal changes, particularly during puberty

  • Pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads
  • Inflammation and redness around affected areas
  • Pain or tenderness in severe cases
  • Scarring in chronic or untreated cases
  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet
  • Wash skin twice daily with a gentle cleanser
  • Avoid squeezing or picking at spots
  • Use skincare products that target acne and reduce pore blockage
