We’re delighted to announce our partnership with the leading independent patient app, myGP, developed by iPLATO Healthcare.

This unique integration will allow pharmacies in Healthera’s network to benefit from the hundreds of thousands of prescription requests received by myGP app users every month – making the UK’s digital health landscape more convenient for patients, more fruitful for pharmacies, and more accessible for everyone.

The myGP app is an all-in-one solution, empowering patients to book GP appointments, access their medical records, place repeat medication orders and engage with local health services.

Uniquely, with over 2.9 million users across the UK, their app is helping clinicians and patients alike to have a simple and transparent relationship with healthcare.

Developed by iPLATO Healthcare, a multi-award winning healthcare company, the myGP app has been supporting the NHS for almost a decade across multiple system integrations and patient technologies.

This new partnership with Healthera marks the beginning of yet another chapter in myGP’s mission to make healthcare convenient and accessible for all.

Patients who order their prescriptions via the myGP app will now have the option to get their medicine dispensed by a local pharmacy in Healthera’s network. This “collection” option will allow more orders through myGP to have a speedy turnaround, making things even simpler for patients.

For Healthera’s 1,500+ partner pharmacies, this means they will receive more prescription orders without having to source additional patients themselves, saving time and money.

The system integration will mean orders referred by myGP to Healthera-partnered pharmacies will go through the exact same process as regular prescriptions, ensuring internal admin by pharmacies is just as easy as usual.

In total, it’s estimated that this new partnership could make hundreds of thousands of new prescription orders available to Healthera-partnered pharmacies every month.

Hailing the integration as another step forward for myGP, CEO Tobias Alpsten said:

We are thrilled to partner with Healthera to enhance the myGP app experience. Our collaboration will give users better access to their medication through a network of over 1,500 community pharmacies, and seamless management of their repeat medications. They will also have access to thousands of bookable pharmacist appointments for blood pressure checks and other key services.

Healthera’s CEO, Quintus Liu also praised the partnership:

Quite simply, patients and pharmacies in the UK will now have another layer of convenience when interacting with the healthcare ecosystem. Not only is this exciting for pharmacies partnered with Healthera, it’s also a huge leap forward for patients’ ability to choose how they manage their health. We’re extremely excited to be working with another forward-thinking company like iPLATO and myGP.

The integration itself is expected to go live by Jan 2024.
