Mounjaro is a prescription injectable medicine used to help with losing weight.
Mounjaro works by mimicking the hormones glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). This helps your body regulate your appetite, feel fuller for longer and reduce cravings.
Mounjaro is a self-injectable medicine which you’ll take once per week.
You don’t have to take it with a meal, but you should always aim to take your medicine at the same time each week.
Each Mounjaro pen contains four doses, meaning you can use it up to four times.
You should never use the same needle more than once (each Mounjaro pen comes with four).
While Mounjaro is available in six different doses (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg), you should always start with 2.5mg, even if you’ve used a weight loss injection before.
You’ll continue on a dose of 15mg once you’ve reached it for the remainder of your weight loss.
Our UK-based clinicians review each order to make sure its safe. We’ll let you know if we think you should be on a different dose and you won’t be charged until your medicine is on its way to you.
