Background
Located in the village of Bidford-on-Avon, Bidford Pharmacy is led by pharmacist and owner Guriqbal Randhawa and run by a familiar team that many patients have relied on for years, particularly for ongoing prescriptions and health advice.
The pharmacy has built its reputation on consistent, face-to-face care, with patients valuing the trusted relationships and continuity of service that come from seeing the same local team each time they visit.
The Challenge
At the time, all prescription requests had to be made in person or over the phone, which took up a large part of the team’s day and made it harder to manage other important tasks, while also limiting when and how patients could get in touch.
The team wanted to simplify the process for everyone, so they began looking at how digital tools could support their work by making it easier for patients to order prescriptions, while continuing to offer the same personal service in the pharmacy.
Our Approach
To meet the needs of different patients, Healthera provided Bidford Pharmacy with both a listing on the Healthera App and a branded Plus Website, allowing some patients to benefit from the app’s speed and convenience, while others used the website for its familiarity and ease of use.
For the pharmacy team, all orders, bookings and messages flowed into Healthera Connect, a central dashboard that allowed them to manage everything in one place, helping patients choose the method that suited them best and giving the team more time to focus on clinical work and patient care without being slowed down by admin.
