So you’ve moved to a new area and you’re not sure how to find your local pharmacy – if you’re someone who relies on prescription meds or frequent pharmacy services, or have family members that do, this can be worrying! It can be difficult to know where to look and which local pharmacy to choose once you know your options – do they offer the services you need? Do they deliver, or only offer a collection service?
Here’s where the Healthera app comes in handy. To find your local pharmacy, all you have to do is open the app, and click on the profile tab along the bottom. Towards the bottom of the screen there will be an option to ‘find your pharmacy’. After you’ve entered your new postcode, you can either choose from a list of local pharmacies or browse in map view to see which pharmacy is the closest.
You can also see which services each pharmacy offers – this could be travel advice and jabs, blood pressure screening, inhaler technique checks – it’ll depend on the pharmacy. You’ll also be able to see whether the pharmacy offers delivery, a really useful option to be aware of. If you’ve selected a pharmacy that caters for all your needs but doesn’t have delivery listed, or another specific service you might need isn’t listed, you can easily and quickly send them a direct message to find out. It’s possible they only listed a select few services, or didn’t think to list delivery as a service.
Once Healthera has helped you to find your local pharmacy, offering the services you require, you’re good to go; if it turns out the selected pharmacy isn’t able to offer a service or product you require, you have the freedom to select another.
